Kim's "Fall"

Thursday, June 28th 2007 @ 9:43 PM (not yet rated)    post viewed 486 times

(note: this post was created with the consent of Kim, otherwise I would be in big trouble)

We all have our "moments".  Yesterday, Kim had hers.  She had quite a wipeout in a parking lot.  Fortunately, Kim was not hurt -- at least physically.  Now in Kim's defense, she tripped over a tree stump -- in a parking lot.  I don't think anyone would have expected to find a tree stump in the middle of a parking lot.  Yet, we are in a forign country and perhaps this is the norm.

Here is my reinactment of Kim's fall, photographed by the recovering Kim...

I've got to admit this must have looked absolutely hysterical. There are a couple of editions to make to Bo's commentary though. 1. It wasn't a parking lot. We were in a clearing in the park, but there were no other obstacles in the area. Obviously, I wasn't paying attention. 2. I went over that stump with BOTH legs going over (in the photos we couldn't re-enact that) but it explains the scrapes I have on both legs. I also have scrapes on my left elbow and thigh as well as a possible sprained right wrist. 3. We should have added the extras flying through the air: camera (yes, mygood one), day-pack, and water bottle!

It was pretty pathetic, but I would have liked to have seen it from the 3rd person! I'm surprised that the photos came out, because by that point I was laughing so hard.
